Upcoming Events Aug. 10-12

Aug. 8 Broomall - Newtown 13 Year Old Baseball Team at the Philadelphia Airport ready to take off for Atlanta where they had a layover and then on to Little Rock, Arkansas and then a 3 hour bus ride to Mountain Home, Arkansas to play in the Babe Ruth, World Series. You can follow the Middle Atlantic Team at Babe Ruth World Series 2018 Mountain Home, Arkansas. First game Aug. 10 at Noon.

Aug. 10 Cheer on Delco's representatives at the Babe Ruth World Series. 12 p.m. 

Aug. 10 BBQ for Independence at the Rose Garden of Independence National Park 6 p.m. Registration is required and the cost is $40. Supports the Law Enforcement Bark Ranger Program.

Aug. 10 Rose Tree Park Summer Music featuring Barefoot Bobby and the Breakers 7:30 p.m.

Aug. 10 Musician John Flynn (Ridley Alumni, Class of 1975) will return to the school for a fundraising concert. Proceeds to benefit the New Beginnings-Next Step (NBNS) program. The program gives inmates a hand up before and after they re-enter society. Concert start at 8 p.m. at Ridley High School.

Aug. 11 St James High School Alumni Dogs on the Dunes at Flip Flopz located at 106 W. Spruce St. North Wildwood 2 - 6 p.m. Ticket $25 in Advance $30 at the door.

Aug. 11 Bike and Walk on Car Free Streets North Broad between City Hall and Erie Avenue 8 mile round trip in North Philadelphia. 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. Philly Free Streets.

Aug. 11 “Reflection – A Juried Painting Exhibition” is  4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and is free to the public at the MAC Gallery 609-B West State Street, Media. Aug. 12 Dog Days of Summer in Franklin Square Noon - 3 p.m. bring your four-legged friends through Franklin Square to enjoy pet portraits, sprinklers and shallow pools for cooling off. Free

Aug. 12 Rose Tree Park Summer Music featuring Tribute to Eric Clapton 7:30 p.m.

The Butterfly House is open at Tyler Arboretum now thru September 2. August 26 is the Bugs and Butterfly event 10-2 p.m.

There is still time to play "Pic Your Park" share you selfie (National Parks) the Find Your Park Instagram Contest going on until September.
