May 12 Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Campaign

May 12 Indoor Block Party at the Darby Free Library 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. 

May 12 Give the Gift of History this Mother’s Day Weekend Gifts from a Secret Garden 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation will host Gifts from a Secret Garden, a Mother’s Day weekend event, on Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  Visitors can enjoy a hands-on tour of our kitchen garden and make a gift for the treasured woman in your life.  Admission includes house tours, animal tours, and the chance to engage in all of our various farm chores.  Visitors will also have the chance to take part in one take-home activity, which may include making a bath tea, medicinal tea, body oil and more (additional activities available at an additional charge.)  Materials for these activities were provided by Aromatics International, a company specializing in organic, wild-crafted essential oils.


May 12 - 13 Taco Festival at Sugarhouse Casino in Philadelphia 

May 12 The opening reception for “Wanderers” works by two of their talented artists, abstract painter Dana Crossan, and photographer Patricia Danzon will be at the MAC Gallery 609-B West State Street, Media, PA 19063, 4 p.m. to 7p.m. and is free to the public. May 13 Media Farmers Market opens 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. every Sunday at 300 block of Edgmont Street between State and Front.
