March 12 "Horseshoe Crabs:Geologic Survivors of Our Eastern Seaboard," lecture at the Delaware County Institute of Technology located at 11 Veterans Square in Media, 7:30- 8:30 p.m.

🏀March 13 and 14 Let the Madness begin, First Four

New Date: March 14 Art for a Cause. Art Sale from various community artists hosted by Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union located at 3741 West Chester Pike in Newtown Square 5 - 7:30 p.m. Half of the proceed will go to support of (PRC) Pennsylvania Resources Council and the other half will go to the Newtown Square Presbyterian Church's Rise Against Hunger Event scheduled for March 11. 

March 14 Philadelphia's Civil War Generals presentation at Dunwoody Village auditorium 3500 West Chester Pike in Newtown Square. Newtown Square Historical Society hosts speaker, Arch Hunter at 7 p.m. a long time history teacher at Marple Newtown High School. 

March 14 The 2018 Spring Lecture Series at Chadds Ford Historical Society Eyewitness Images from the American Revolution, Arthur Lefkowitz This slide presentation is based on Arthur Lefkowitz’s new book titled Eyewitness Images from the American Revolution. Despite the absence of photography and combat illustrators, the American Revolution was accurately recorded by a number of artists.  Historian Arthur S. Lefkowitz, author of six award winning books about the American Revolution, will present a color slide presentation of 18th Century artistry in the form of studio executed history paintings, portraits, illustrations, maps and rapidly executed drawings done in the field. While some of the artwork presented may look familiar, Mr. Lefkowitz gives detailed information about each image and well as insights concerning the artists who created them.   The pictures in the presentation have been gathered from   museums in the United States, Canada, Ireland, England and France.  Copies of Eyewitness Images from the American Revolution are available from our shop and Mr. Lefkowitz will be available for signing any of his books following the lecture. Admission to the lecture is free for all CFHS members and $5 for non-members. All tickets are at the door; no advance ticketing is available. The 2018 Spring Lectures Series is held in the CFHS Barn Visitors Center at 1736 Creek Road (Rt. 100), Chadds Ford, PA 19317. March 15 PA Veterans Outreach Van will be onsite at the office of State Representative Leanne Krueger Braneky 701 E. MacDade Blvd., Folsom 10 - 2 p.m. Veterans and family member can get information about disability, health care, pension, education benefits, career assistance and more.

March 16 - September 2,2018 Leonard Bernstein: The Power of Music at the National Museum of American Jewish History located at 5th and Market streets in Philadelphia.

March 16 The National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) Conference in Atlanta will speak with NASA astronaut Scott Tingle, currently living and working aboard the International Space Station, at 10:40 a.m. EDT Friday, . The 20-minute, Earth-to-space call will be one of several interactive events to air live on NASA Television and the agency’s website during the week.
