Sept. 9 Pumpkinland at Linvilla is Open!

Sept. 9 Antiques, Collectible Appraisals, Sale and Show Delaware County Historical Society Fundraiser at Neumann University, Mirenda Center Complex, Convent Road in Aston, PA. 

Sept. 9 Yummy Preserves Workshop 10:00 -2:00 p.m.
(or until we finish!) at Historic Rittenhouse Town 208 Lincoln Drive in Philadelphia. It is the time of year to consider preserving foods for the months to come when gardens and orchards are no longer producing. We will learn the general rules of pickling, prepare pickled colliflowers, beat-roots, onions, and golden pippens. Each participant will take home receipts (recipes) and the results of our work. Please register early as class size is limited.

Sept. 9 Ridley Park Victorian Fair 10 - 4 a.m. at Ridley Lake.

Sept. 9 Miss America Show Me Your Shoes Parade, Atlantic City Boardwalk 5 p.m. 

Sept. 9 Undy Run in Philadelphia 

Sept. 9 and 10. Chadds Ford Days includes over 50 of the area’s finest artisans and demonstrators. Chadds Ford Days offers something for everyone including a “Maker’s Marketplace” for purchasing unique, handmade items, and colonial demonstrator stations where you can learn about a traditional craft like blacksmithing, lacemaking or woodturning. You can try colonial dancing and learn how our ancestors socialized and flirted in the 1700s! You’ll also meet General George Washington and Revolutionary War soldier Ned Hector, and you can tour a 18th century military camp where you’ll see cannons firing, muskets shooting and soldiers on maneuvers.  The event runs from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Sept. 10 Lansdowne Arts on the Avenue noon - 6 p.m. Centred in the heart of Lansdowne in front of the Lansdowne Theater.

September 10 Fall Super Sunday in Media Raindate Sept 17 

Sept. 10 Philadelphia Honey Festival at Bartram Gardens 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Sept. 10 Grandparents Day celebration at the Norwood Public Library 2 - 4 p.m.

Sept. 10 Fishing with Friends along the Delaware River Waterfront , a monthly opportunity to learn the fundamentals of fishing with Todd Pride of Mid-Atlantic Youth Anglers and Outdoor Program Free. All Ages Welcome 3 - 6 p.m.

Join us on Thursday, September 21 from 1-3 PM at the beautiful Sage Farmhouse for our annual Tea Party Fundraiser. This year's theme is inspired by the PBS show Victoria and the great Queen of England who inspired an era. Pamper yourself while having afternoon high tea with your friends and helping raise money for the Middletown Free Library.
Feel free to dress up and wear your best hat/fascinator.
The Tea Party will include: 
à Victorian Afternoon High Tea Service: featuring 3 different kinds of tea sandwiches, scones, Victoria Sponge Cake, shortbread cookies, and truffle tartlets
à 3 Types of Tea by Certified Tea Sommelier Karen Donnelly of Greenhalgh Tea Co.

Early Bird Tickets are now available for the 6th Annual Glow in the Park, Oct. 19 from 6 - 9:30 p.m. at the Reflecting Pool at the Fairmount Park Horticulture Center. Glow in the Park is an event to showcase Philly's amazing park and build the next generation of park champions.
