Sept. 11 Children's Mental Health Day sponsored by Delaware County System of Care Children's Cabinet and Coalition at DCIU located at 200Yale Ave. in Morton 10 - 5 p.m.


Sept. 11 First Ladies Club Presentations Once a month at the Middletown Free Library learn about the life and times of the First Ladies of the United States of America. Take a closer look at these strong women who helped shaped the presidential administrations of their husbands and the impact they had on their country. This month features Mary Todd Lincoln 2 pm. Register online or call library to attend.
Sept. 11 St. Rose of Lima in Eddystone will offer a special mass for local police, firefighters and all emergency responders 7 p.m. The community is welcome to come and recognize local heroes.

Sept. 12  Guided Bird Walks at Valley Forge National Historical Park 8 - 10 a.m.

Sept. 13 Brandywine River Museum WWI lecture series Andrew Wyeth's Great War at 11 a.m. Cost $15 individual and $10 for members. 

Sept. 13 Author Talk and Book Signing, Robert Watson, author of the upcoming book Ghost Ship of Brooklyn: An Untold Story of the American Revolution will be at the Museum for a talk and book signing.

Sept. 14 Gentle Yoga w/ Lisa Dombroski at Middletown Free Library. Register online or call library to attend. 10:15 a.m.  

Sept. 14 Opening Celebration and World Premiere of Cai Guo-Qiang Fireflies 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. at Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
 

Sept. 14 – Well-Preserved Tavern Talks is a monthly experience (not a lecture!) aimed exclusively for adults 21 and older that focuses on unexplored aspects of early American history and culture. Guests will experience history with hands-on activities, food and drink tastings, demonstrations, and more. Tavern Talks takes place at the Chadds Ford Historical Society’s Barns Brinton House, an historic 1714 tavern, located next to the Chaddsford Winery at 630 Baltimore Pike. Admission is $20 for non-members and $15 for members. Tickets must be purchased in advance over the phone, in person or online as space is limited. All attendees must be 21 and older.


 

Sept. 15 - Oct. 8 Cai Guo-Qiang: Fireflies on Benjamin Franklin Parkway

 

Sept. 15  PiraticalFamily Night Dinner the night before the festival.   This year is porchetta and pulled pork, prepared by the Knights of Columbus 6 - 8 p.m.  They will also have beef hot dogs, sides, desserts and drinks are donated by Wawa.
