May 8 First Ladies Club at Middletown Free Library featuring Sarah Polk and Margaret Taylor 2 p.m. Registration required.

May 8 Stargazing at Widener University Observatory, 5th floor of Kirkbride Hall, 17th and Walnut Streets in Chester 9:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.  

May 9 to June 11 Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival in Franklin Square. Put this on your list. I saw it last year and it was great!

May 10 International Space Station news conference live on NASA TV 2 p.m.

May 10 St. James alumni Choir will perform at Delaware County Fireman's Memorial Service at Lima United Methodist Church on Middletown Road at 7 p.m.

May 10  Memories Games a program presented by Thomas McNellis, president of Memory Matters Corporation at Aston Community Center 2 - 3:15 p.m.

May 11 Sip behind the Scenes: Sea Shanty Sing a long at Newlin Grist Mill 6 p.m. - 7 :30 p.m. for adults 21 and Older.

May 11 Aston Township Historical Society meeting features local historian, genealogist and a Neumann University librarian, Barbara Selletti.  Mrs. Selletti will paint a vivid picture of Dr. Cornelius C. V. A. Crawford's life.  Doctor Crawford was an Astonian who was a Civil War Army Surgeon.  He just happened to take a bullet meant for President Abraham Lincoln in 1864 at the Battle of Fort Stevens!  He is buried at the Cumberland Cemetery in Middletown. Aston Township Historical Society (ATHS) welcomes everyone to its quarterly meeting on  at the Aston Township Community Center.  The Museum will be open from 6:15 pm to 7 pm and the meeting starts promptly at 7 pm.

May 11 Philadelphia Night Market Burholme at Rising Sun and Cottman Avenue 6 - 10 p.m.

May 13 Mothers Day Brunch at Historic Grange Estates includes tour of the mansion. 12 - 3 p.m.

May 13 Red Hill Farm Plant Sale 1 - 4 p.m. locally grown produce and farm tours will be available. Located at Legion and Red Hill Farm Rpad in Aston.
