Just as a heads up Heinz NWR is one of the star viewing locations.  I was there yesterday and the turtles have already staked out their seats, get there early.

April 29  Walk for Our Kids at Springfield Mall 8 - 10 a.m. a main fundraiser for Delaware County Down Syndrome Interest Group. You can rgister the day of the event.

April 29 Congratulations to The Plank House in Marcus Hook, it was listed on the National Historic Register.  The public is invited to join Dr. David Orr, (retired) Temple University and Dr. Mitchell Rothman of Widener University for a dig located behind the house. The first dig of the year begins at 9 a.m.

April 29 KSF Lacrosse Festival at Radnor High School. 

April 29 Ft. Delaware "Pea Patch Island" opens for the season. It is heron heaven and also the summer home to nine species of herons, egrets and ibis.

April 29 Arbor Day at Morris Arboretum 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. UnEarth the Science of Flowers. 

April 29 Black and white Masquerade Spring Fund Raising Gala for the Middletown Free Library at the Sage Farmhouse 7 to 10 p.m. Mask are encouraged but not required. Tickets $85.

🍺April 29 and April 30 English Brewing Demonstration at Newlin Grist Mill from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Using grain ground in the water-powered 1704 Grist Mill and reproduction 18th-century-style equipment, Marc Meltonville will produce an authentic English ale. Free.

💃April 30 For Pete's Sake a 3 mile fun walk fundraiser around the concourse of Citizen's Bank Park celebrating the beauty of relationships in their lives and the strength of people with cancer.

🍺April 30 English Brewing Traditions Presentation at Newlin Grist Mill 3 p.m. In the presentation “Messing About with Old Beer and Ale,” Marc Meltonville will look at the history of ales and beers, how they were made, who made them, and how and where they were drunk. $5 members/$7 non-members.
