Easter Sunrise Service on LBI 2017

To witness

Nothing seems more spectacular than the beginning of a brand new day.

The faithful gathered

At the end of the service when the priest inclusively suggested everyone go in peace, he also recommended all those heading out to a restaurant for breakfast to go with patience. A mindful suggestion of the instant gratification world we sometimes live in.

Not long after the service and the sun rose in the celebration of He is Arisen, the fisherman were out in droves along the jetty at the Barnegat Inlet.  It was prophetic. There wasn't a lot of chocolate in my basket this year but the sand in my shoes was a welcome substitute. If you have ever wondered what a Easter Sunrise Service is like along the shore, it's special, try it sometime.
