Upcoming Events Starting with April 1st


April 1 The Historic Grange Estate Mansion Tours open for the season Saturday and Sunday 1 - 4 p.m. (will be closed Easter Sunday).

April 1 St. Robert Alumni Mass 4 p.m. at Saint Katherine Drexel. A small social will take place in the auditorium to discuss future events to support the parish. If you plan on attending please bring any type of canned goods (fruit, vegetables, soups, etc.), baby diapers, baby formula, or any other non-perishable goods with you to drop off prior to or after mass in the Gym it would be GREATLY appreciated.

April 1 Ridley YMCA Health Awareness Day and 5K

April 1 Dusty Attic, Creepy Cellar Open House at Morgan Log House 10 a.m to 3 p.m.

April 1 Hazardous Waste Recycling at Emergency Services Training Center located at 1700 Calcon Hook Road in Sharon Hill.  Click on the link to see what will be collected. Electronic and Latex paint will not be accepted.

Apr. 1 "Shred and fed" free community wide shredding event at Wallingford Presbyterian Church 1 - 4 p.m. A voluntary donation of a non-perishable food item will be accepted or a monetary donation to benefit the Chester Eastside and City Team Ministries. wallingfordpres.org

April 1 Aston e Waste Recycle 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Commonwealth Recycling, Judy Way in Aston. Almost anything with a plug. No large appliances, bulbs, batteries or smoke detectors. Extra bonus: On-site hard drive shredding to prevent identify theft. Drop off CRT Monitors for $20 ea. LCD TV's for $20 ea, Console/ProjectionTV $50. April 1 Immaculata University to show a screening of the new Duffy's Cut documentary from Irish American Films 7:30 p.m.

April 1 Saturday Symposium George Washington Society presents Voices of the Past, Stories of the Black Patriots of the American Revolution 7 p.m. at the Delaware Historical Society, 504 N. Market Street in Wilmington 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
 
April 1 "Book-It" 5K Run Fundraiser co-sponsored by Helen Kate Furness Free Library and Swarthmore Public Library. A 8:45 a.m. event will begin with a Swarthmore Stroll $20 to participate and at 9 a.m. the 5K Ruan and Walk will start at Heln Kate Library and end at Swarthmore Library $30. April 2 Kevin Cain Memorial Foundation Make My Day 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk in Havertown.
