Feb. 9  Aston Township Historical Society welcomes Barbara Selletti as she presents the life of Dr. Cornelius C.V.A. Crawford a Civil War Army surgeon from Aston that took a bullet meant for Abraham Lincoln at the Battle of Fort Stevens.  He is buried at Cumberland Cemetery. The talk will follow the Historical Society meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Aston Township Community Center located at 3270 Concord Road in Aston.

Feb. 9 A Historical Perspective - Race Relations in Collingdale. Collingdale Historical Society is hosting an open discussion on race relations at the Pilgrim Seventh Day Adventist Church in Collingdale 7 p.m.
