Dec. 12 Jurassic Park consultant, Don Lessem will be at the Delaware County Institute of Science in Media at 7:30 p.m.

🎶Dec. 13 Holiday Music Festival at the Middletown Free Library 6:30 p.m. Sign up to register. 

Dec. 14 Water is Life: the issues involved at Standing Rock and Actions to Come presentation by Nancy Webster at Middletown Free Library 2 p.m., an eyewitness account of what has been going on in North Dakota. Register to attend.

Dec. 14 Holiday Origami Workshop at Upper Chi Library for residents at 4 p.m. call the library to register.

🚴Dec. 15 Bicycle Coalition of Philadelphia 2016 Holiday Lights Tour. Free and open to everyone. Meet at  Performance Bikes Parking lot located at 13oo South Columbus Blvd. (Riverview Plaza) in Philadelphia. RSVP - Free, RSVP with $5 donation (entry into bike raffle), RSVP with Membership $35 (membership benefits and 5 entries into holiday bike raffle).

🎅Dec.15 (Date changed to Dec. 20) Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney and Councilman Mark Squilla as Buddy the Elf and Santa Claus (mingling with guests at 4:45 p.m.) at the Franklin Square Holiday Festival.  Mayor Jim Kenney and City Councilman Mark Squilla will “ignite” the Franklin Square Electrical Spectacle in costume as Buddy the Elf and Santa Claus. The visit by Kenney and Squilla continues an annual tradition that began with the first year of the Franklin Square Electrical Spectacle in 2013. The Franklin Square Holiday Festival includes seasonal food and beverages at SquareBurger and Ben’s Sweets & Treats and enjoy a the Franklin Square Electrical Spectacle presented by PECO, a free holiday light show with 50,000 lights choreographed to seasonal music. The first show of the evening begins at 4:30 p.m. and continues every 30 minutes until 8 pm. A young guest selected from the audience, will “ignite” the 5 p.m. showing of the evening.

🎄Dec. 16 State Representative Leanne Krueger-Braneky holiday open house at 701 E. McDade Blvd. in Folsom 3 - 6 p.m.

Dec. 16 Star Wars Night  at the Franklin Square Meet and greet favorite characters from Star Wars FREE. Come in costume! 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Dec. 16 In addition, come for the ticketed Jedi Training – NEW FOR 2016, 4 - 5 p.m, at FranklinSquare where guests will learn the powers of the force with Darth Vader and Kylo Rem featuring trivia, questions and answers, and other fun in the Franklin Square Pavilion. Advance tickets ($15) required.
