The Week Before Christmas 2016 ALREADY

🎅Dec.20 Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney and Councilman Mark Squilla as Buddy the Elf and Santa Claus (mingling with guests at 4:45 p.m.) at the Franklin Square Holiday Festival.  Mayor Jim Kenney and City Councilman Mark Squilla will “ignite” the Franklin Square Electrical Spectacle in costume as Buddy the Elf and Santa Claus. The visit by Kenney and Squilla continues an annual tradition that began with the first year of the Franklin Square Electrical Spectacle in 2013. The Franklin Square Holiday Festival includes seasonal food and beverages at SquareBurger and Ben’s Sweets & Treats and enjoy a the Franklin Square Electrical Spectacle presented by PECO, a free holiday light show with 50,000 lights choreographed to seasonal music. The first show of the evening begins at 4:30 p.m. and continues every 30 minutes until 8 pm. A young guest selected from the audience, will “ignite” the 5 p.m. showing of the evening.

🏠Dec. 23 Weekends at the Historic Grange Estate Visit the Model Train Display in the Carriage House! Admission is FREE to the expanded Model Train Display. Tour the beautifully decorated Gothic Revival mansion, enjoy Chad's fabulous Santa collection, and visit our delightful Gift Shoppe stocked with handcrafted, unique seasonal gifts. 🎄If you didn't get a chance to put up your decorations, the lights are up at Rose Tree Park, go enjoy them there.
