Did You Know?

Reynolds Wrap has lock in tabs to hold the roll in place.

The color on the bread tab indicates how fresh the bread is

You can divide and store ground meat in a zip loc bag. Just break off how much you need and keep the rest in the freezer for later. So much easier than dividing and individually wrapping each pound or half pound.

If you place a wooden spoon over a pot of boiling water, it won't boil over.
Tried it, it works!  If it doesn't work, read why at food-hacks.

Stuffing a dryer sheet in your back pocket will repel mosquitoes
Sounds so simple. I have not tried yet.

Marshmallows can cure a sore throat. Perfect for kids who don't like medicine. Also acknowleged at lifehacker.com foxnews.com oct 2012 and wikipedia. Parade magazine referenced Infectious Diseases Society of America in saying 70 percent is the proportion of sore throat patients who receive antibiotics, though only 20 percent have bacteria-caused strep throat. New guidelines advise doctors test to confirm strep before they prescribe antibiotics.

You can freeze cupcake batter for later use.

You can run a paper bag through a printer to create your own gift bag
Mind you, I said you can, I don't have that much luck with modern technology.

If you break your blender jar you can use a mason jar.
I am a little weary of this one too.

Medicine cabinets are NOT the safest place for medicine.
Why? I'm guessing moisture.

  1. Actual science experiments showed that dryer sheets repel gnats, not mosquitoes. The wooden spoon thing doesn't work...I've had water boil over more than once. I would NEVER use a jar that wasn't made specifically for my blender.

  2. Thanks for your input Mike, I went back and added links that suggested the mosquito trick does work, Skin so Soft from Avon also has been suggested through the years. Also http://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/dryer-sheets-as-bug-repellant-40521023/ talks about the gnats as you said but mosquitoes had not been tested. Wouldn't it be great if it did work? I agree 100 percent with you on the mason jar for a blender replacement. I don't believe or practice "everything" I read on the Internet some days I just marvel at it. I try not to post anything that is untrue as well. I also added a link about the wooden spoon, sometimes it doesn't work and it tells you why. Thanks again for calling me on it, I am no expert : ).
