Upcoming Weekend Events November 5 2016

Nov. 4 - 6 Food Festival and Shopping Extravaganza at St. Herman's Orthodox Church of Alaska located at 1855 Middletown road (Rt. 352) Glenn Mills, PA.
Fri. 3 -8 p.m. Sat. 12 - 8 p.m. Sun 12 - 4 p.m. The sign by the mall says, Russian Food, a chance to experience something different if you have never tried it.

November 5 Aston Township Computer Recycling and Data Destruction Event 9 - 1 p.m. Commonwealth Computer Recycling at Elwyn Industries 1 Judith Way in Aston. Some services will requires additional fees.  Check link for details.

Nov. 5 Collecting slightly used winter coats for the homeless at the Swarthmore Farmers Market. 

Nov. 5 America In Conflict : 1917 And the World War speaker Michael Neiberg, Chair of War Studies at the Army War College 2 p.m. at PAFA Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia.

Nov. 5 Author Expo at Marple Library 1 - 3 p.m.

Nov. 5 Coffee and Tea Festival at Greater Philadelphia Expo

Nov. 5 Paper Marbling Workshop at Historic Sugartown’s Bindery. 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Learn to create marbled paper. Marbling is the art of floating and designing watercolors on a base fluid then permanently transferring the design to paper. Colonial Williamsburg-trained instructor. Ramon Townsend of, will lead the class through the entire marbling process. Participants will take home their finished papers. Workshop Admission: $65/adult, $50/child (Ages 8-17; must be accompanied by an adult). All supplies included.

Nov. 5 and 6 Wood Craft Wildlife Art and Craft sale at Penn State Brandywine Campus.


Nov. 6 Time to change the clocks. Fall back. You can also get some of your winter gear out. Shovels do not have to be stationed on the front porch yet, just know where to find them.

Nov. 6 Sierra Club Hike at The Leiper Trail (Wallingford) and the Crum Woods (Swarthmore) 1:15 p.m. Park and meet under the Blue Route where it crosses Avondale Road near Copples Lane in Wallingford 1:15 p.m. contact

Nov. 6 American Hero Veterans Day Ceremony in Concord Township (rain or shine) at the memorial on Smithbridge Road, next to the Rachel Kohl Library 3 p.m.

Nov. 6 Julius Caesar A Live Radio Play at the Physick House located at 321 S. 4th Street, Philadelphia, PA. 5 p.m.

Nov. 7 and 8 Fall Craft and Bake Sale at the Middletown Free Library 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Nov. 7 Mighty Macs Movie Special Movie Event 2 p.m. and Q and A with Judy Martelli at the Middletown Free Library.  It is the story of the Victorious Immaculata Basketball Team dubbed The Mighty Macs.

Nov. 7 Julius Caesar A Live Radio Play at the Physick House located at 321 S. 4th Street, Philadelphia, PA. 7 p.m. 

Nov. 8 Stock Up on the Popcorn, Election Day Get Out and Vote. Regardless of the outcome, may we all remain friends and family again.

Nov. 10 Volunteer for Love Your Park Fall Service Day in Philadelphia.
