Nov. 18 The Toxic Fire of 78 Committee presents an evening of dinner and magic at Bella Theresa Ballroom at AJ Stephen's Crab House, 105 S. MacDade Blvd. in Glenolden. Tickets $75, proceeds are intended to go towards the building of a memorial to the police, firefighters and EMS responders that suffered terrible repercussions from the exposure to the toxic chemicals of the City of Chester, Wade Industrial fire in 1978.
Nov. 18 The National Institute on Disability, Independent Living and Rehabilitation Research Wants to Hear from You. They are conducting a listening session at several locations across the country and also are offering an opportunity to listen in to those that are unable to attend.  You may also send suggestions via email. Now until Dec. 16 the Springfield American Legion located at 18 E. Springfield Road in Springfield is accepting new  unwrapped toys for the U.S. Marines "Toys for Tots" campaign.
