September 30 - ):ctober 3  Parks on Tap will be at Lemon Hill in Fairmount Park.  The Lemon Hill Mansion was a a German beer garden at one time in its historical past. Check the link for times.

October 1 Community Day in Aston 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Community Center. Parade begins at 9:30 a.m. at Neuman drive. Raindate October 8.

October 1 Community Day in Glenolden  11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Glenolden Park. In the event ...raindate October 2 or October 8. Movie night cancelled September 30.

October 1 Philly Fall Nature Fest at John Heinz Refuge.


October 1Newlin Grist Mill Fall Harvest Festival  from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Newlin Grist Mill, 219 South Cheyney Road, Glen Mills, PA 19342. The 18th century comes alive during this annual event, with the sights, sounds, and smells of colonial America. The Fall Harvest Festival is a full day of fun for all ages. Admission is free, so bring the whole family! Scheduled demonstrations include: -Milling in the 1704 grist mill -Blacksmithing -Brewing -Scherenschnitte (paper cutting) -Chair caning -Wool spinning -Tape weaving -18th century laundry -Colonial lighting -Pretzel baking by Deborah Peterson -Hearth cooking by Clarissa F. Dillon -Silhouettes -Paper marbling by the Colonial Bindery -Broom making -Natural dyeing -Grafting & seeds -Candlemaking -Native American skills -Music by the Colonial Revelers Some artisans and vendors will also have wares for sale, including: -Pins & Things handcrafted rolling pins -Historic Delights jewelry -Saw Creek Soap Company -Rotary Club Food Truck Young visitors will especially enjoy: -Tuckers Tales Puppet Theatre -Colonial toys & games -Heritage dancing -Pumpkin painting* -Hayride* *Additional cost Free admission, $5 per car parking. October 2  Annual Cityteam Bluegrass and BBQ at Wind Hill Farm, 799 Grubbs Mill Rd.,  Berwyn 4-7 p.m. to benefit Cityteam Chester’s homeless programs. Everyone is welcome. Jimmy’s BBQ will serve BBQ Food and beer pairings. Noggin’ Hill will create the musical atmosphere for this year’s event.
