Upcoming Events September 11

September 9 Delaware County District Attorney Jack Whelan will host a Delaware County 911 Memorial Service at the Delaware County Law Enforcement Memorial and the Delaware County Fallen Firefighters and EMS Monuments at Rose Tree Park 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

September 11 a 15 Year Anniversary.  It is hard to believe it was that many years ago now. It seems like yesterday. May all those souls rest in peace and hopefully the family members have found some peace as well.

September 11 Aston Township Memorial Garden 3 p.m. 911 Memorial Ceremony, in the event of rain the event will be held at the community center.

September 11 St Timothy's Luthern Church on Pennell Road in Aston will hold a 0 a.. outdoor service in observance of 911.

September 11  911 Memorial Service at 6 p.m. in Brookhaven behind the municipal center.

September 11 Clifton Heights Patriot Day Memorial Service at 1 p.m. hosted by the Clifton Heights Fire Department.

September 11 "From Darkness Into Light: Remembering September 11, at St Denis Roman Catholic Church a 50 - Minute prayer service at 4 p.m. in Havertown.

September 11 Veterans Park Memorial Gazebo in Marple 6 p.m. concert and 7 p.m. remembrance ceremony. 

September 11 St. Madeline Church celebrates Patriots Day at an 11 a.m. Mass in Ridley Park. 

September 11 -16 Center City Philadelphia Restaurant Week

September 11 Victorian Town Fair in Ridley Park 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Ridley Park Lake.

September 11 Lansdowne Arts on the Avenue Noon to 6 p.m. on Lansdowne Avenue.

September 11 Sierra Club Hike at Ridley Creek State Park 1 :15 p.m. Area 8, 3 mile hike. Traveling west on Gradyville Rd, turn left (south) at the second stop sign onto the Park entrance rd. (Sandy Flash Drive South). Pass the Park HQ (The Mansion) driveway on the right.  Turn left at Area 8.  Go up a hill.  Park in the left parking lot at the top of the hill. Sign up for Myfi (Media Youth Film Initiative) at Media Youth Center, A film production class for high school students. Learn screen-play writing, acting, directing, camera operation, set lighting, sound and film editing, a 12 week course on Wednesdays 6 - 8 p.m. Course fee $195, scholarships available.
September 20 The PACRN Project:Protecting Pennsylvania's Cultural Heritage 2016 Symposium presented by Conservation Center for Arts and Historic Artifacts hosted by PEMA Emergency Operations Center in Harrisburg. Click here for more information and to register. Classes start September 21.
