Historic Delco Driving Tour September 24 and 25

September 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday and September 25th from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m

Historic sites throughout western Delaware County (Saturday) and the Brandywine Battlefield, 1491 Baltimore Pike, Chadds Ford, PA 19317 (Sunday)

In celebration of history month, ten of western Delaware County's most treasured historic resources will be open on Saturday, September 24th for FREE tours from 10 am to 3 pm. Visitors will walk in the footsteps of real people and visit their schools, places of worship, and final resting places.
Historians and costumed re-enactors will be on hand to provide FREE guided tours at each of the sites. 

Tour sites on your own (download map at or join our car & bus caravan for free (meet us at the Granite Run Mall at 9:30 am - we will depart at 9:45 am) OR get a $15 bus ticket and let us do the driving! Noted historian, Nancy Webster, will be on board the bus to share history and local lore along the way.

1. Cumberland Cemetery and Middletown Hicksite Burying Grounds - 447 North Middletown Road, Media, PA.

2. Concord Friends Meeting - 827 Concord Road, Concordville, PA.

3. Virginia Merion DeNenno History & Educational Center aka the Pierce-Willits House - 659 Smithbridge Road, Concordville, PA.

4. Bethel School #4 aka Booth's Corner School - 1347 Naaman's Creek Road, Garnet Valley, PA.

5. Siloam United Methodist Church - 3720 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA.

6. Ogden School aka School #4 - 3110 Naaman's Creek Road, Upper Chichester, PA.

7. Chichester Friends Meetinghouse - 611 Meetinghouse Road, Upper Chichester, PA.

8. Village Green School - 3155 Old Pennell Road, Media, PA.

9. Our Lady of Angels Convent - 609 South Convent Road, Aston, PA.

10. Resurrection Episcopal Church & Calvary Cemetery - 667 Mount Road, Aston, PA.

On Sunday, September 25th, a Special Encampment Experience will take place
at the Brandywine Battlefield between noon and 4 pm! 

The only charge is the Park's Regular Daily Admission Fee: $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, and $5 for children
