August 15 Presidential Greatness at Middletown Free Library presentation by Roger Arthur 2 p.m. This program is audience participation and looks at the qualities a person needs to be president. Forty-three people have been president. Three or four have been great, a few have been "near greats," three have been failures and one was a criminal. All of the others have be in various states of mediocrity. Why? With the backdrop of Mt. Rushmore the audience is invited to investigate the answer to that question.

August 19 - 21 America's 15th Annual 911 Ride click on the link to find start and stop locations. Motorcyclists will be traveling from Somerset, PA, Flight 93 Memorial, to the Pentagon in Arlington, VA and World Trade Center in NYC to honor the victims. Normally the sound of a motorcycle weaving in and out of traffic can cause a disturbance, until you witness this, their thunder will give you chills. Pay respect if you happen to spot them on the road. It's something.
