June 6 "DIY Terrariums"a Makery at Middletown Project Susan Purcell shows us how to create our very own terrariums.Terrariums are simple to make and maintain, and are perfect for placing next to a desk, bed, or by the kitchen window where they can be admired and enjoyed. June 6 A Salute to Old Glory: A History of the American Flag

This timely presentation, occurring between Memorial Day and Flag Day, will include an overview of the evolution of ensigns/flags leading up to the Stars and Stripes as we know it today.  The program will also provide information as to the history of “The Star Spangled Banner” (both the actual flag and the anthem), the sobriquet ‘Old Glory,’ the Pledge of Allegiance and more.  We will follow the history of the American flag and other icons of American patriotism from our country’s inception to the present day. You are invited to show up wearing something red, white, and blue if you are so inclined! 2 p.m. Presentation by Kerry Bryan Registration is required for all programs! June 6 Strawberry Festival at Wallingford Presbyterian Church in Wallingford 5- 8 p.m.

June 6 Aston Hometown Concert featuring Northley Steel Drum Ensemble and Jazz Band 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. The concert will be held outside the Aston Library Building.
June 7 Mutter Museum Comes to the Library, Swarthmore Public Library 7 p.m. in the Borough Council Room.

June 7 is our neighbors turn. Today is the New Jersey Primary. We are all wondering just how this National Election will go in November. Is New Jersey feelin the Bern or High on the Hill and then there is The Donald.
June 8 DIY Windchimes  Makery at Middletown Project make beautiful windchimes using items we have around the house or craft room, upcycling old sivlerware and old keys, ribbons, beads, etc. They are perfect to hang in your garden, windows, or anywhere you enjoy the spring breeze. All the money raised goes back to the library to fund programs, supplies, repairs, etc. 10:30 a.m.

June 9 Herbs and Potions Tavern Talks will take place at the Chadds Ford Historical Society’s Barns Brinton House, an historic 1714 tavern, located next to the Chaddsford Winery at 6030 Baltimore Pike. Admission is $10 for non-members and $5 for members. Tickets must be purchased in advance over the phone, in person or online as space is limited. All attendees must be 21 and older. June 9 -12 Lighthouse International Film Festival in Beach Haven on Long Beach Island.
