10 More First Week of June Events 2016

June 2 Georgia O'Keeffe Inspired Pastel Drawing Workshop at Middletown Free Library. Learn oil pastel techniques while exploring the art of Georgia O'Keeffe's flower paintings. Create your own oil pastel drawing of an enlarged flower with the guidance of an experienced artist. 6:30 p.m. Registration is required for all programs! June 3 Meet John G Nicolay, Private Secretary to President Lincoln
Come meet John G. Nicolay who served as secretary to President Abraham Lincoln, and later co-wrote a 10-volume biography on the president, Abraham Lincoln: A History.2 p.m. Presentation by John Voris Registration is required for all programs! June 3 Philadelphia-based Americana band Black Horse Motel conjures a sound that draws on traditional folk roots, along with many other influences, and ties it together with unifying vocal harmonies. Concert will be in the air conditioned ballroom of the park mansion at Ridley Creek State Park.  Tickets $15.00 beer, soda and snacks provided. 7:00 to 10:00 with doors opening at 6:30.p.m.

June 4-5 Concord Township Historical Society Museum Open House 1 - 4 p.m.


June 4 Historic Newtown Square Day 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. including a parade with over 100 firetrucks along West Chester Pike at 11 a.m.

June 5 Haverford Township Historical Society Heritage Festival 11 - 4 p.m.
