May 28 Weekend events

May 26 Ben's Kites and Flights Tour opens for the season Thursday evenings in Philadelphia through August 11.

May 27 Independence Hall After Hours Tour opens for limited dates. Click on the link for specific dates and times of the 2016 season.

May 27 Blue Cross Riverrink Summerfest opens this weekend at the Delaware River Waterfront in Philadelphia.
May 28 National Hamburger Day stock up.  There must be a statistic somewhere on the amount of ground beef that is consumer this weekend. It is as American as hot dogs.  It makes me wonder who started that thought process.  Was it the Mad Men?

May 28 Once Upon a Nation Story Telling benches open for the season in Philadelphia. Bench locations.

May 28 Brandywine River Museum Antiques Show.

May 28 The End of an Era: Removing the General Meade's Norway Maple Tree at Laurel Hill Cemetery. 8 a.m.

May 28 Military Might at Morgan Log House.

May 28 Marcus Hook Memorial Day Parade at Noon starts at the Marcus Hook Fire department.

May 29 Memorial Day Parade and Reception presented by the General Meade Society at Laurel Hill Cemetery. 

May 29 Garden City Fire Department in Nether Providence Township Memorial Day Weekend Celebration a plaque to the Armed Forces donated by the Nether Providence Elementary School student fundraiser will be presented. Assemble at 10:30 in school parking lot for parade at 11 a.m.

May 29 Take a Hike with the Sierra Club at Taylor Arboretum located at 10 Ridley Drive, Wallingford, PA. Time 1:15 p.m.

May 29 - June 16 Cape May Music Festival.

May 29 National Memorial Day Concert in Washington D.C. 8 p.m. will also be televised on PBS.

May 29 is National Heat Awareness Day. Are ya feelin it?
