December 10-14 Gun Violence Prevention Sabbath Weekend
Those seeking an end to gun violence will gather at the corner of Red Hill Road and Convent Road in Aston for a silent candlelight vigil to remember those killed by gun violence and urge actionfrom our legislators.

December 12 and 13 Belin House Holiday Brunch at Hagley in Delaware 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

December 12 Chesapeake City, MD Candlelight House Tours 6 - 9 p.m.
Advance tickets: $12, otherwise $15. Ticket sales start at 4 p.m. on December 13th at Chesapeake City’s Town Hall (2nd Street and Bohemia Ave.) where the self-guided tour begins from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Hot Cider and cookies are offered. No rain date. More info: please call 443-553-0071.

December 12 Running with the Santas Pub Crawl 10 a.m. - 11:30 p.m.

December 12 The 116th Army - Navy Game at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia 3 p.m. CBS will cover the game live on television.

December 12 Jingle Jog through Fairmount Park see the Historic Homes decorated 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Details 

December 12  A Sugartown Christmas 11 - 4 p.m. Explore the Historic Village Victorian Christmas Traditions Children’s Holiday Crafts Decorate a Gingerbread Village of Historic Sugartown Visit with Santa Local Artisans, Authors and Other Vendors, Authentic Book Binding Demonstrations.

December 12 The Spirit of Christmas Celebration, this town-wide celebration is sponsored by the New Castle Presbyterian Church and the New Castle Busines Bureau. The all-day event is free to the public. Activities include, tours of private historic homes decorated for the season, museum tours, events at the New Castle Court House (part of the First State National Monument) and musical performances and entertainment throughout the town.

December 12 The Amstel House and Dutch Houses in New Castle will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to visitors during The Spirit of Christmas.
December 13 This year’s first crossing event of Washington Crossing the Delaware will be held on Sunday,  from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (actual crossing time approximately 1 p.m.). The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children age five to 11, and free for those under five.

December 13  Reindeer Romp in Havertown 5K 3 p.m. and Walk 3:05 p.m. starting point Oakmont Elementary School.  All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.

December 13 Thomas Leiper Holiday Open House The Friends of Thomas Leiper cordially invite you to a Colonial Christmas Open House and the celebration of the birthday of Thomas Leiper at his 1785 country home, located at 521 Avondale Road, Wallingford PA from 1:00 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Come out and see the elegant decorating at the Leiper House by the following local Garden Clubs.
