Upcoming Weekend Things To Do

October 17 Fabulous 50's and Beyond  Weekend Concert in Wildwood NJ.

October 17 Colonial Harvest and Craft Show at the Thomas Massey House and the Marple Christian Church 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at 473 Lawrence Road in Broomall.

October 17 Dig into History and Archaeology at the 1704 Brinton House located at 21 Oakland Road in West Chester 1 - 5 p.m. Adults $8, Children $5.

October 17, 23, 24,30 Candlelight Ghost Tours t Fort Mifflin 7 p.m. - 10 p,m.

October 17 Fueled Up and Fired Up Run, Walk and Raise Money for the Nether Providence Responders and Susan G. Komen Philadelphia. Same day registration and pickup packet at the Wallingford Presbyterian Church. The race begins at the Wallingford Train Station. 







October 17 and 18 Medieval Days at the Colonial Plantation.

October 17 and 18 New Jersey Lighthouse Challenge.






October 18 Rose Valley Centennial Foundation is organizing a self-guided tour walking tour of some of the historic home in Rose Valley including the Thunderbird Lodge. 1 - 4 p.m. Tickets $50 and will go towards the future restoration of the lodge. Click on the links for more details. Tour Space is limited. Programs, including a commemorative map, will be reserved for those who pre-register. Free parking information will be e-mailed to pre-registrants.
You can register now by mailing your check for $50 per ticket to the Rose Valley Centennial Foundation, PO Box 48, Rose Valley, PA 19065.  Or on-line registration with credit card payment will be available shortly at rosevalley100.org. October 18 Fall Festival at Collen Brook Farm Marvine and Mansion Roads, Drexel Hill, PA from 1 to 4 p.m.Take a photo on the antique fire truck, feed the chicken in a farm life setting. Also, paint a pumpkin, make a scarecrow (please bring a child’s small size shirt, pants, hat etc. if possible), bob for an
apple, try colonial crafts and games and have your face painted.
Tour the mansion, have lunch and stroll the path along the “Collen
Brook” while enjoying the music by the PA Irish 69th Volunteers
Admission Free. Donations Welcome!!


October 18 Aids Walk/Run Philly kicks off at Eakins Oval in front of the Art Museum. The 5K Run begins at 8:00 AM and the Walk begins at 9 a.m.

Nov. 14th - Colonial Dinner / 5 P.M. / a harvest festival dinner. Recommended reservation one month ahead. I attest well worth it, a delicious dinner in a lovely atmosphere and a tour of the Historic Thomas Massey House. Dinner reservations must be made at least 1 month in advance with a $10.00 non-refundable deposit. Reservations can be made by emailing thomasmasseydinners@gmail.com or calling 610-353-3644.
