October 13: Superheroes 2015 SCIENCE AFTER HOURS at the Franklin Institute. 

October 16 National Mammography Day

October 16  Paranormal Fridays at Fort Mifflin 7 p.m. to Midnight reservations required.

October 16 and 17 Sugartown at Sundown Lantern Tours at Historic Sugartown 6:30 - 8 p.m. 

October 17 Octoberfest Live at Xfinity Live Philadelphia Craft Beer and Music. 
  Oct. 17 - Harvest Day Festival / colonial crafts and activities demonstrated between 10 A.M. and 4 P.M. at Thomas Massey House. Free Admission – Donations Welcomed. The Thomas Massey House and The Marple Christian Church, Lawrence Road in Broomall. Experience Early American Life in 18th Century Marple. The culture, customs, hardships and the daily work routine will be brought to life by colonial clad volunteers. Come learn and discover how to churn butter, make candles, and apple butter. Also, see a working blacksmith shop, and enjoy the delicious aroma from the walk-in working fireplace while listening to the music of the Marple Community Band. At 1:00 p.m. the Sons of the American Revolution will raise the flag and present a brief message about the American Revolution in 1777. Stroll the lawn next door at the Marple Christian Church and visit their Craft Sale.Tours of the Massey House will also be available throughout the day. Don’t the colonial experience! 

October 17 and 18– Medieval Days at  Colonial Plantation

October 17 and 18 Pumpkinland Days at Tyler Arboretum. 

October 17 and 18 The 32nd Annual Cranberry Festival in Chatsworth, New Jersey.
