I read yesterday, after 48 Years, Pink Floyd the band is splitting up.
1. Comfortably Numb
4. Dark Side of the Moon
5. Us and Them
7. Wish You Were Here
8. Hey You
9. Another Brick in the Wall
10. The Show Must Go On
What song most says Pink Floyd to you?
My number one song was chosen not from my spacey, dreamy years as a teenager when I mostly listened to Pink Floyd but from a special program I saw a few years back on television called Stand Up for Heroes. I was so taken by this program, there were a lot of heroes in today's society on hand. Bob Woodruff, news reporter in the middle east who was severely injured by roadside bomb. His foundation along with New York Comedy sponsored the event. Jon Stewart was on stage for support as well as Brian Williams ( I still like and respect him), Bruce Springsteen even made an appearance. Roger Waters of Pink Floyd led off the song, Comfortably Numb but Corporal Tim Donley one of America's finest from the USMC and Musicorp Band of Brothers stole the show. Although Pink Floyd is a British band, through this song they brought a whole new meaning to America's Military Got Talent.
search for this on Youtube both songs will give you chills!
roger waters muiscops tim donley comfortably numb
Roger Waters and Band of Brothers-Hallelujah (Stand Up for Heroes) another great song written by Leonard Cohen, not a Pink Floyd song but don't miss it!
Also on YouTube you can see that Corporal Tim Donley was married in May 2015! Congratulations to the happy couple, Mr. and Mrs. Donley.
