Ten Plus Upcoming Events Week of August 10

August 10 Tickets go on sale Today! at 10 a.m. for the Middletown Free Library's Downton Abbey Tea Party fundraiser that will take place on Thursday, September 10th at 1-3 p.m. at The Sage Farmhouse. Tickets are $30 each.This is a 'hot" tickets and sold out quickly last year.

August 10 On NASA TV Veteran Russian Cosmonauts Set for Spacewalk on NASA TV 9:45 a.m.

August 11 Marcus Hook Summer Music Festival  Tongue and Groove ( 70's and 80's rock) Designers Touch Wooden Roses will be attending along with Pure Romance by Chantel, Pink Zebra, Thirty One and more. Concert is free and begins at 7 p.m. at Market Square.

August 11 Science + Art 2015 SCIENCE AFTER HOURS at the Franklin Institute.

August 12 Free Outdoor Movie Series: Jaws 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. FringeArts in Philadelphia 140 N, Columbus Blvd, in Philadelphia on the Delaware Waterfront.

August 13   Night Skies in the Observatory is a monthly stargazing event held in the Joel N. Bloom Observatory, hosted by Franklin Institute Chief Astronomer Derrick Pitts, View celestial objects in the night sky, including stars, planets, nebulae, and if conditions are right, a galaxy or two, from 5 different rooftop telescopes in the Observatory. The evening includes a Fels Planetarium show and a lecture or presentation (appropriate for ages 8 and up) on an astronomical or space science topic. The Observatory is staffed with knowledgeable observers and free star maps are provided. This event runs from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. Night Skies in the Observatory $5.00 Per Person, Free for Members.

August 13 LEGO Movie Screenings Under the Stars 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing.

August 13 Ocean City, New Jersey Baby Parade on the Boardwalk 6th to 12th Street 5:30 p.m.

August 13 -17 The 54th Annual Philadelphia Folk Festival
Campground opens on Thursday 10:00 a.m. and closes  Monday at 12:00 p.m.

August 14 - 16 Delaware Junction Country Music and Camping Festival in Harrington, Delaware.

August 14 Smooth Summer Jazz featuring Brian Culbertson at the Great Plaza Penn's Landing. 7:30 - 11 p.m.

August 15 Splash in the Square 11 a.m - 3 p.m. and Saturday Night at The Movies, Dolphin Tale– at Franklin Square 7 - 11 p.m. Bring a blanket and watch a movie on the Great Lawn. Games and pre-show activities start at 7, movie begins at 9 p.m.

August 15 Pirate Day at Ft. Mifflin 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

August 15 WWII Victory Dance aboard the Battleship New Jersey on the Camden Waterfront.

August 15 All-American Day at the Hagley Museum in Greenville, Delaware, A nineteen century baseball game between Diamond State Base Ball Club and Lewes Base Ball Club.

August 15-16 Linvilla "Growing Hope with City Team" a table will be set up outside the farm market for donations to City Team 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

August 15-16 John Heinz Wildlife Refuge Bird Walk on Saturday at 8 a.m. Nature Walk on Sunday at 1 p.m.

August 16 Gaming For Honor a video Game Charity at Xfinity Live benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project as tickets for admission for the event and raffles will go to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.  Also a plan on live streaming the event so people unable to make the show can still donate online via a donation page to Wounded Warrior Project.

August 16 TriState Jazz Society at the Community Arts Center in Wallingford, PA at  2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
