Top 10 Awareness in the Month of February

American Heart Month High Blood Pressure is greater than 140/90.  Do you know your numbers HDL? LDL? The American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association has useful information like healthy nutrition, how to test your heart rate, what is normal, cholesterol drugs, ways to lower your cholesterol etc.
Heart Healthy Month coincides with American Heart Month as Valentines Day spreads the love throughout February.

National Fiber Focus Month The American Heart Association has several articles on fiber recommendation. Click on the fiber link.

Black History Month To commemorate and celebrate the contributions to our nation made by people of African descent, American historian Carter G. Woodson established Black History Week. The first celebration occurred on Feb. 12, 1926. For many years, the second week of February was set aside for this celebration to coincide with the birthdays of abolitionist/editor Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln. In 1976, as part of the nation’s bicentennial, the week was expanded into Black History Month. Each year, U.S. presidents proclaim February as National African-American History Month. This information was obtained at census.gov.  More facts and figures about Black (African-Americans) can be found there. I also recommend the movie Selma.

Canned Food Month All the questions you ever had about canned foods is answered at this link eatingright.com.  There are over 1,500 varieties of canned food.

National Weddings Month surprises me as being February.  I can see National get engaged month with Valentines Day but "they" are saying February is National Weddings Month.  I would have thought June. Back in the day you bought Brides magazine now all you have to do is watch Bridezilla. I did find two interesting websites theknot.com and wiki.weddingbee .com.

Celebration of Chocolate Month When is Chocolate not a celebration? January? Christmas leftovers, February Valentines, March maybe, it all depends on the deals of the leftover hearts and of course if Easter comes early, there must be some chocolate covered green. April Easter eggs is all sorts of sizes, shapes and delicacies, May maybe another lag, June, July and August? you know how to pop those chocolate bars in the freezer right? They can thaw real quick, no need to microwave. September back to basics and time to stock up for the big one Halloween, November stretch out your supplies and December stock up for those cold wintery days when nobody wants to travel out in the elements but for chocolate...every one must go and celebrate.

Snack Food Month Who knew there was a Snack Food Association? On their website they address "sodium intake" and links to cardiovascular disease and they reference and ink you to The New England Journal of Health website article Global Sodium Consumption and Death from Cardiovascular Causes. Not all snacks contain salt but in my opinion the really good ones do and sometimes you need a little salt, its a fact.  Why does it seem that everything you like is bad for you? Read the article if you are concerned about your salt intake better watch your sugar too, just sayin.

Wise Health Care Consumers Month February 15 is the last day to enroll for 2015 Health Care Insurance.  Here is a link to healthcare.gov.

  1. I have been browsing online more than 2 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.

It's pretty worth enough for me. Personally, if all website owners and bloggers
made good content as you did, the internet will be much more
    useful than ever before.
