December 4, 5, 6 and 7 Orminston (1798) Mansion Holiday House Tours from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and again December 11, 12, 13 and 14. Tea and Sweets will be served. Located at 2000 Reservoir Drive, East Fairmount Park in Philadelphia. 

December 4 Candlelight Tours of the Historic Houses of Fairmount Park 5:30 - 8 p.m. Tickets: $45 per person. Tours depart from Lloyd Hall, 1 Boathouse Row, and visit Laurel Hill Mansion, Woodford Mansion, and Strawberry Mansion. Fairmount Park’s historic mansions are most charming and elegant at night when toured by candlelight.  Visit three Park Houses, decorated for the holidays, and hear about Fairmount Park, and the history and residents of each house from trained guides.  The tour will conclude with a delicious reception at Historic Strawberry Mansion. December  6, and 7 Shofuso Japenese House and Garden - "Holiday House Tours". The Japanese House has never looked like this before! Shofuso will be decorated with ancient winter symbols like traditional Japanese greens, ikebana flower arrangements, straw and paper ornaments, and a kagami mochi mirror rice cake, for Japanese New Year正月 (shōgatsu). December 6  The 29th Annual Chadds Ford Candlelight Christmas Tour 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 per  person in advance or $25 per person on the day of the tour.

December 6 Concord Township Historical Society presents their Annual Christmas Tour:“A Concord Christmas” will take place 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
General admission $15.00, Society members $10.00. Concord Township historic residences and area churches will open their doors for participants to get a closer look inside. The tour begins with registration at the Virginia Merion DeNenno History and Educational Center (located at 659 Smithbridge Road, Glen Mills PA 19342, near the Rachel Kohl Library).

December 6 Fairmount Park Holly Trolley Saturday, 12/6 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Hop on and off the FREE Holly Trolley and visit historic houses to enjoy special programming. Fairmount Park Conservancy members visit their first house free. Pre-register for the Holly Trolley here.    

December 6 The 52nd Annual Holiday Open House Tour Newtown, PA 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For the $25.00 cost of a tour ticket, visitors can enjoy Newtown on foot for an up-close look at the interiors of five or six private homes and several public buildings, all dressed for the holidays.Included in the cost of the tour is entry to the Half-Moon Inn, a beautifully restored 18th century building and home to the Newtown Historic Association, sponsor of the tour. Note: Some of the Fairmount Park "group" tours sell out but you can still tour individually.  Here is a link to a map and driving directions to go to the houses on your own. Always check on the house links to make sure they will be open or closed due to inclement weather.
