Top 10 February Awareness Days

February is the Month of Love and other days too.

February 1 National Wear Red Day (not wearing red today?) Can you go home at lunch and change?

February 2nd Ground Hog Day If the ground hog sees his shadow, we will have six more weeks of winter.   I may be in the minority but I like snow. Sigh an early spring, no shadow.  Okay I accept time to get out the gardening gloves and let the sun shine.

February 9 Festivities Begin for the Chinese New Year.  It is the Year of the Snake. Click here for local events.

February 10 World Marriage Day makes me wanna sing that song "Love and Marriage".

February 12 Abraham Lincoln's Birthday.

February 14 Valentines Day contrary to some beliefs, Hallmark did not create Valentines Day but it sure keeps them in business.  Did you get your card yet?  No e-cards allowed on Valentines Day.  It's just not the same and chocolate, lots of chocolate. There are no rules that you can't treat yourself. Ice cream works too!.

February 14 V Day not to be confused with Valentines Day.  It is an awareness to STOP the Violence Against Women. "One Billion Rising" spread the word and check for local events on the website to participate.

February 15 Susan B. Anthony's Birthday. Susan B. Anthony was the first woman to have her face on circulating U. S. coinage.  Can you name the others? Check the U.S. Mint website for the answer. I only knew of one other.

February 18 Presidents Day

February 22 Washington's Birthday

And as we all know February 4th is Monday Morning Quarterback. May the best team win and the other brother graciously accept defeat. You can get em next time. I can't even imagine what that feels like for either brother.
