November 28th, Nether Providence Historical Society presents Baseball's Golden Age, 7:30PM at the Helen Kate Furness Library, in Wallingford, PA. Jim Vankoski, curator of the Mickey Vernon Sports History Museum will share baseball stories following the screening of the Museum's documentary.

December 1st - January 1st Rose Tree Park Festival of Lights 5:30PM.

December 1 - 9 Fairmount Park Holiday House Tour  This is on my to do list this year.  I want to get some holiday decorating ideas for my lil mansion at home.  Check on the link for optional tours.

December 8th Colonial Plantation Christmas on Farm, Saturday,  11 a. m. - 6 p.m., last entry at 5:30PMFarmhouse decorated , Byers Choice "Farmer and Farmer's wife" available for purchase! Limited Edition carolers! Tea Tasting Wassailing the Orchard at 1 and 3 (a Plantation Tradition) Textile, woodworking, and long rifle demos Plantation Store Sale. Christmas Shopping!!!

December 8th Media and surrounding area Historical Holiday House Tour 2 - 7 p. m..  Tickets are $25.00 and can be purchased at Earth & State, Media Florist, or Quincy’s Marqueting on State Street in Media, Pa. 

Dec. 8th at 5pm  Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony with Mayor Michael A. Nutter in the City of Philadelphia.


December 12, Shop at Ten Thousand Villages in Media (101-103 W. State Street) from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on  and 15% of your purchase amount will be donated to the Delaware County Literacy Council (DCLC). 

December 12 Dine at Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant in Media (30 E. State Street) with a “Give 20” coupon from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. , and 20% of your food bill will be donated to the Literacy Council. DCLC “Give 20” coupons are available at www.delcoliteracy.org. Coupons cannot be distributed at the restaurant on the night of the event, so diners are asked to obtain their coupons in advance. Reservations are recommended.
